“Money Turvey - Mynydd Allt Fach” - “Money Turvey” is the southern Gwent colloquial name for “Mynydd Allt Fach” - one of the so called “Twin Peaks” of Wentwood Forest - The other being Grey Hill - “Mynydd Llwyd.”

“Mother and Machen”- Arthur Machen’s mother died young - I based this picture on a sculpture fixed to the wall of a Roman Catholic Church in London - but replaced the Christ child with an image of Machen: It’s about the mother/son dynamic and relationship
