“Utter Gwent” - Monmouthshire was once divided between “Gwent Uchaf” and “Gwent Isaf” - Upper & Lower Gwent - above and below Wentwood Forest: Arthur Machen once used the term “Utter Gwent” I thought it an appropriate title for one of my Gwent landscapes.
